Grifola frondosa - GF52
Maitake, commonly known as Hen of Woods or Sheepshead, is a choice culinary mushroom. This strain produces fronds of grey-brown with white undersides and fruits in the early fall. While this strain can be used on sterilized sawdust substrate, it is more successful on logs. We recommend strain GF24 for production on sterilized sawdust substrates.

Fruiting temperature range:
50-70° F
Indoor incubation temperature:
50-60° F. Spawn run will occur outdoors at temperatures above 50° F.
