Strain | Bellwether™ Shiitake
Lentinula edodes
Bellwether™ shiitake are one of the earliest springtime fruiters, fruiting as soon as temperatures creep into the 40°s. These mushrooms have exceptionally beautiful bell-shaped caps. The heaviest fruiting will occur naturally in Spring. Bellwether will not respond to force-fruiting.

9-18 months
Fruiting temperature range:
40-70° F
Indoor incubation temperature:
50-60° F. Spawn run will occur outdoors at temperatures above 45° F.
