The Chestnut mushroom is a beautiful, rusty brown colored mushroom that grows in large bountiful, clusters. It's a culinary delight that can be easily incorporated into any dish. The entire mushroom - both cap and stem - can be used and its crunchy texture remains intact even after cooking. Available in large (4 lb.) bags only.
The recommended substrate for chestnut is a sterilized substrate mix.
PLEASE NOTE: the mycelium of this species is not thick and white. When you receive your grain spawn you will notice significantly finer mycelium than what you may be accustomed to if you usually work with other grain spawns.
