Short incubation time for cure-in-the-bag Shiitake. We offer this single strain as it is our go-to for Shiitake block production. LE3790 has a fast spawn run (fruiting can begin at 10 weeks but we recommend 14 weeks), it is resistant to fruiting in the bag during incubation, and produces excellent yields of solid mushrooms with good shelf life when picked early. Fruiting temp range is 55-70° F, but 62° F is ideal.
Usage notes: Liquid Culture Syringes come sealed with a sterile needle and alcohol wipe. Prior to use make sure to thoroughly mix liquid culture with the aid of the air bubble within the syringe. Liquid spawn is best used in tandem with a self-healing injection port bag. Use aseptic technique when working with syringe. Use within 20 days of receipt.
For LE3790 we recommend using a minimum of 15ml of liquid spawn per 4lb sterilized grain bag.
Note: Shiitake does not create heavy mats of white mycelium leading to an "uncolonized" appearance. This is normal!
