Beltane™ is an early to mid spring fruiter naturally, but like all Wide Range strains, it can be forced to fruit. Beltane™ is a consistent producer when forced in early summer which can be a tricky time for other Wide Range strains. A nice strain for natural and forced fruiting. Fruiting temp range 55-75° F.
250 plugs will plant 5 logs, and 1,000 plugs will plant 20 logs (about 50 plugs per log, based on an average log size of approx. 40" long and 4" in diameter).

Force fruited Beltane shiitake log pile

It took about 18 months after plugging alder logs. I and my fellow master gardeners at our demo mushroom garden were blown away by the productivity.
