NEW: Deluxe Morel Bed Bundle!

The Deluxe Morel Bed Bundle includes one 5 lb. bag of Morel sawdust spawn (your choice of Landscape or Black Morel), five 2 lb. bags of EXO (Exogenous sterilized nutrient mix), PLUS 3 tunnel hoops, a 40% shade cloth, a plastic sheet covering, ten earth staples, and instructions.

We have been working with Morel cultivation for years. Some trials are successful, but never to the point of honest, abundant reproducibility. This spawn is not warranted to produce mushrooms due to the many yet unknown factors of growing morels, but is a fine bag of hope to experiment with.

Because of the success rate, we think it is important that any extra money spent on environmental controls or season extenders such as hoops, tunnels or other infrastructure should be of solid quality and multi-use for other gardening projects - not just morels, but for other bed mushrooms (such as Almond Agaricus) or garden crops as well. Our Deluxe Morel Bundle is built with this in mind with quality materials that won't disintegrate into a pile of broken poles after one season.

We have had success with two different morel species: the Landscape Morel (Morchella importuna) and the Black Morel (Morchella sextelata). Both are promising due to their ability to form fruiting bodies without the presence of tree roots.

Recommended planting rate: 5 lb. bag will inoculate about 10-20 sq. ft. Includes spawn and instructions.
