This spawn is meant for growers who are interested in simple introducing morel genetics into their landscape, or who have the knowledge and materials to make their own EXO bags.

We have been working with Morel cultivation for years. Some trials are successful, but never to the point of honest, abundant reproducibility. This year, we are passing the cultivation baton to you, along with our best to-date instructions. This spawn is not warranted to produce mushrooms, but is a fine bag of hope to experiment with.

The Black Morel (Morchella sextelata) is one of the most popular morel varieties to use in the new cultivation method. Also commonly known as the "burn morel" it proves promising as it does not rely on association with living tree roots. Fall planting is recommended with this method using sawdust spawn.

Recommended planting rate: 5 lb. bag will inoculate about 10-20 sq. ft. Includes spawn and instructions.
