Description

This spawn is meant for growers who are interested in simply introducing morel genetics into their landscape, or who have the knowledge and materials to make their own EXO bags and morel bed structure. If you are interested in a more robust kit see either our Standard Morel Bundle or Deluxe Morel Bundle.

We have been working with Morel cultivation for years. Some trials are successful, but never to the point of honest, abundant reproducibility. This spawn is not warranted to produce mushrooms due to the rigorous method required to grow morel mushrooms.

The Black Morel (Morchella sextelata) is one of the most popular morel varieties to use in the new cultivation method. Also commonly known as the "burn morel" it proves promising as it does not rely on association with living tree roots. Fall planting is recommended with this method using sawdust spawn.

Recommended planting rate: 5 lb. bag will inoculate up to 30 sq. ft. Includes spawn and instructions.
