Black Pearl Oyster Block for Outdoor Beds

These mushrooms fruit in the spring and fall when nighttime temperatures are very cool (40-50). As long as nights are cool, they can tolerate warmer daytime temperatures (prefer no warmer than 70F). These buried blocks take 10-14 days to fully develop the mushrooms. Plant Black Pearl for an impressive mass of mushrooms. A second fruiting is possible, but not typical.

How to plant a buried block mushroom bed:

1. Select a shady location for your mushroom block
2. Remove your block from its plastic filter disc bag
3. Place your mushroom block on the ground and cover with wood mulch, sawdust, or even soil
4. Wait for your mushroom crop!
