I was sceptical about the spawn looking like a bag of plain grain. I've never had reishi so "loose". Mine always got rather hard as a rock very fast as it grew out. How you managed to get this stuff to stay "loose" grained all the while is a mystery to me. I transfered some to petri dish, liquid culture, expanded it to more grain, sawdust pellets (sterile, treated, and not sterile), and next to chainsawed logs outside to be partially burried. I'll let you know about that if your call to remind me to comment on that.
