Strain | Native Harvest™ Shiitake
Lentinula edodes
Native Harvest™ shiitake naturalized on the Field & Forest Products farm and has abundant natural fruiting in the late summer and early fall. This variety grows well on soft maples and responds to force-fruiting. These shiitake are lighter in color due to a wide band of white ornamentation.

Fruiting temperature range:
50-75° F
Indoor incubation temperature:
50-60° F. Spawn run will occur outdoors at temperatures above 50° F.
