We did this the older way a few years with cordless drills, but with the angle grinder I would not go back. We did about 60 logs with one bit and still sharp enogh to burn through oak and hickory logs. Super fast, pray for safety and use eye protection. Contrary to F&F experienced advice, I did not want to be limited by an extension cord so I used a Milwaukee cordless with 18V 12 AH batterys, just never let them go below 3 bars charge and change them out about every 4-5 logs with fresh battery and I did some 10+inch logs, they produce a lot.
