Every year in June we have a limited production of ready-to-bury Maitake (Hen of the Woods) blocks, and every year we sell out quickly. We will be offering the ready-to-bury block sets again, but we also offer this more hands-on option!

The many steps and equipment needed to making mushroom blocks can be daunting. This easy, low-tech method balances time and cost by using of hardwood pellets and by bypassing sterilization. Kit includes a 4 lb. bag of Maitake (outdoor strain) grain spawn, hardwood pellets, bran, filter patch bags, and instructions.
